수산화알루미늄 (ALUMINIUM HYDROXIDE)

수산화 알루미늄은 보크사이트(BAUXITE) 원료로 하여 BAYER법으로 제조되며화학식은 AL(OH)3  또는 AL2O3•3H2O 표시됩니다.외관은 결정상태의 백색분말이 Gibbsite, Diaspore라고도 불립니다.

 

무기계의 대표적인 난연제로수산화 알루미늄은 무독성(비할로겐), 저발연성으로 가공기계의 부식이 적고전기 절연성이 우수하며가격이 저렴합니다 때문에 전제품,자동차건축자재전선용 케이블등의 분야에 난연 충진제로 사용되고 있습니또한,흡열량이 470 cal/g으로 높으며 200까지 안정상태를 유지합니다. 상이 온도에서는  분해 반응이 일어나 연소를 억제합니다폴리머의 성형가공 온도범위에서 안정적이기 때문에 UPE,Phenol,Epoxy, Acrylic,Melamine등의 열경화성 수지 비롯한​ PVC,PE,PP,EVA  라텍스,제지합성섬유등에 적용될  있습니다 외에 고정밀 분야에 맞도록 특별 제작된 고백색 제품도 있습니다.

 

Aluminium hydroxide (ATH) is a white crystalline powder manufactured from bauxite by a chemical process known as Bayer-Process. ATH is used as flame retardant in plastics, paints, adhesives, sealants and rubber. It is also used as pigment in paper, paper coating, industrial coatings and water based paints, ATH is as well in tooth pastes as polishing agent, as raw materials for catalysts and for the production of different aluminium compounds.


As flame retardant filler, ATH replaces the burnable organic/polymeric metrix. ATH retards a fire due to its endorthermic decomposition to aluminium oxide and water. This process consumes energy, dilutes burnable gases and builds up a protective layer of oxide against energy and oxygen ingress and makes ATH a very effective flame retardant for many applications.
